CREATIVES MEET-UP

The Creative Meetup at the American Centre was more than just a networking event, it was a dynamic convergence of artistic minds, where ideas sparked, perspectives shifted, and creativity took center stage. From fashion to photography, storytelling to sustainability, the space was alive with purpose-driven discussions, cultural exchange, and industry insights. Visionaries like Godfrey Katende (IGC Fashion), Felix Masi (Photographer), Harriet Hala (FAB L’style Magazine), and Elizabeth Mbabazi (Kuonyesha Art Fund) shared their journeys, emphasizing the power of authenticity, storytelling, and strategic collaboration in the creative industry.

As the event unfolded, one message resonated deeply, art is more than an expression; it is influence, identity, and impact. Whether through mentorship, advocacy, or innovation, Africa’s creative sector is not just evolving; it is shaping global narratives.

With over 214 arts projects funded across 11 countries, the Kuonyesha Art Fund continues to amplify creative voices, ensuring that artists don’t just create, but also lead conversations that matter.
